Nobody likes to be sick. But there are diseases that not only cause a person physical torment, but also affect their appearance. And this is already a big problem: how can you put on a T-shirt or an open dress if your neck, elbows and knees are covered with ugly stains?
Causes of Psoriasis

Doctors do not yet agree on the causes of psoriasis. There is evidence that there are multiple causes of the disease. These include poor immune system function, alcohol (drug) abuse, poor nutrition and previous infectious diseases. It is believed that a cold climate can also affect the occurrence of an unpleasant disease.
There are factors that promote the development of psoriasis, also called lichen planus. This can be: very thin skin, frequent contact with chemicals, excessive maintenance of skin cleanliness (wear of the top layer of skin), stress.Psoriasis can be recognized by sudden red spots appearing on the skin. These are primarily the areas of the neck, lower back and knee joints. In some patients, lichen can affect the scalp, feet and palms, and nails.Psoriasis is most painful when it occurs on the face.In this case, the unfortunate person does not want to leave the house, as the stains are very noticeable.
First signs of illness
Psoriasis appears as small red dots that resemble a rash.It can take different forms - a dot, a drop, a coin.Sometimes, in severe cases, the rash takes the shape of an arc, a ring, or even the shape of a continent on a world map.The disease can almost always be diagnosed visually due to its scales. They form from the center to the periphery and are easily torn off.Beneath the scales is a spot whose bright red color is due to capillaries located near the surface of the skin. The top layer of skin becomes thicker because cell division occurs much faster, about eight times faster than normal. As a rule, spots appear symmetrically on both sides. The rash is preceded by fatigue, depression and sleepiness.Sometimes there are depressive states.

Why is psoriasis dangerous?
Unfortunately, there are no medications that can guarantee a cure for this unpleasant disease. The disease is believed to be hereditary.Psoriasis is afraid of ultraviolet rays.
At first glance, psoriasis is not a very dangerous disease.Few people know that this insidious disease can become a systemic disease. The hormonal, immune and nervous systems are affected. The thyroid, liver and kidneys can also be affected.
It is much easier to carry out preventive treatment and avoid exacerbations than to treat the serious consequences of psoriasis. And therefore - a healthy lifestyle, regular body cleansing, sports and sunbathing!
